The Bianca Modo Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and abuse through education, advocacy, leadership development, and creative expression. Our events and programs are designed to uplift communities and create meaningful impact.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, registering for an event, volunteering, or donating, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.
3. Use of Website & Content
All content on our website, including text, graphics, images, videos, logos, and event materials, is the property of the Foundation unless otherwise noted.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify our content without prior written permission.
Content shared by participants (photos, stories, videos) may be used by the Foundation for educational, promotional, and fundraising purposes with explicit consent.
4. Event Participation
Registration for our events is open to individuals who meet eligibility requirements as outlined in the specific event description.
By attending, you acknowledge that events may be recorded, livestreamed, or photographed. By participating, you grant the Foundation the right to use your likeness in promotional or educational materials unless you opt out in writing.
Survivors who choose to share their stories retain ownership of their personal narrative. The Foundation commits to handling all survivor contributions with dignity, sensitivity, and respect.
5. Donations & Sponsorships
Donations made to the Foundation are non-refundable and tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Sponsorships are governed by individual sponsorship agreements which outline benefits, recognition, and fair market value of goods/services provided.
Donors and sponsors will receive an acknowledgment letter or receipt for tax purposes.
6. Volunteer Terms
Volunteers agree to uphold the Foundation’s mission and values while serving in any capacity.
The Foundation reserves the right to release any volunteer whose actions conflict with our values, policies, or survivor safety.
Volunteers may be asked to complete background checks for certain roles.
7. Privacy & Confidentiality
The Foundation values the privacy of survivors, volunteers, donors, and participants. Personal information collected through forms, registrations, or donations will not be sold or shared without consent.
Survivor identities and stories are protected, and only shared publicly with explicit written consent.
8. Code of Conduct
All participants in our programs and events must act with respect, professionalism, and integrity.
Harassment, exploitation, discrimination, or any form of abuse will not be tolerated.
Violations of this code may result in removal from an event, termination of volunteer involvement, or legal action if applicable.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Foundation is not liable for any damages or injuries that may arise from participation in our events, use of our website, or reliance on our materials. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our programs, laws, or operational practices. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised “Effective Date.” Continued use of our services after updates indicates your acceptance.
